Ten Tips Tutorial

Gametrailers has posted a Ten Tips Tutorial for Railroads!

I'm not sure if the voice is someone in Firaxis, but if it is... well, I hope I'mnot offending anyone when I say that it sounds more like a language tape than Railroads! tips hehe.

@rsutt: What's one of the most fun things that can happen then, is buy his last 10% too. You will own his company AND all your own stocks as well. :)

True, I guess no one should update, it's much better to not update and keep crashing, at least we'd all have the same version then, right WarII?

That is an odd message. 512 should be enough to run the game though...

HG's own review

Due to circumstances, we're a little late with this one, but that can also be a plus. :)

In any case, our own review is up for your reading pleasure right now. :)

We understand TROAB. :)

If anything, your experiment showed that longer, fluid routes are more viable than shorter ones and that it's worth spending the extra cash on track if it means trains can get up to their full speed. It's good info. :)

Barely, and any car that doesn't fit on the screen/station will disappear into thin air anyways. :)

Not if it's one corner but with so many corners, the train will never ever reach its fill speed. Think of it this way: You take the car and have to be on the other side of the city you live in. There's an uninterrupted freeway around the city or you can go right through it, having to navigate throug...

Ehm, guys, this behaviour of the game is by no means a 'problem' in pathfinding.

There are several technologies that become available that are directly related to this, most noteably the tech that increases speed in tight corners. :)

Making the game playable in the later stages

I've been doing some testing with things that might improve the game playable in the later stages. There isn't a whole lot you can do to improve it (our hopes for that are on the patch of course) but there are two things that can make it a little bit better. Towards the 1920's, I usually have bought...

I understand why you are disappointed if you were expecting RRT4. To be honest, I wouldn't have minded the game to be a little deeper than it currently is as well. But judging the game as RRT4 is completely unfair. Other than a train theme, the RRT series has very little to do with Railroads! I don'...

Not sure, but if you change it into two Y junctions feeding into a single one, it should work fine.

So:

Y Y

(hope that shows correctly(

Of course that doesn't work too well when you don't have a lot of room...
