I sure wish I could help, but I have never owned a Mac and I have no idea how they work. I hope that maybe a search online will bring you some answers. You might look at Steam and see it you find anything. I know that they have a large number of gamers. Perhaps someone there has run into this problem as well and has found a solution. Okay, so I tried everything that worked before when SMR was running on my old iMac. Now I have a newer model running Ventura 13.7.2 and none of the maps work. Not even those that were never a problem. What’s really annoying is where the user folder ended up to be. That is so insane that words fail to describe it. This is where the UserMaps folder is:
Library/Containers/Sid Meier’s Railroads!/Data/Library/Application Support/Feral Interactive/Sid Meier’s Railroads!/VFS/User/AppData/Roaming/My Games/WinDeveloper/UserMaps

I consider this the worst integration ever. Do you know any solution to this upsetting situation? Now, with a much better machine I can only play the original scenarios and that is no longer funny, as I know these by heart. Thank You much.

In reply to thepabray. Hi Paul, I am glad to know that some of these old maps are still getting play. I hope you enjoyed the experience. It has been a long time since that map was built. I am still creating new ones and hope to get another one out in a month or so. It just takes me a while to get all the stuff built, get everything tested and finally get goals created and tested for play. Thanks for trying the map. Slider

Thanks to slider38 for another excellent map! I managed to pass all criteria on Robber Baron/hard routing/no AIs commencing at Sioux Falls. The most difficult to achieve was the first stage (by 1979) due to the large quantity of rail that needed to be laid. The secret was to make a big money machine first with two cities producing food and transporting it to each other, providing the capital required for expansion (didn’t need the Malleable Rails patent). Engines were beautifully designed and the goods were interesting as usual. Would be interested to hear if anyone is able to pass this in RB mode commencing somewhere other than Sioux Falls.

Thank you for an early Holiday gift. This is better than a Turkey leg on Thanksgiving!

The 1st stage of this one is even tougher. Many attempts on Robber Baron difficulty. Eventually nailed it and location certainly played its part. But quite enjoyable when challenging. 5 stars.
