Hi Paul, I am glad to know that some of these old maps are still getting play. I hope you enjoyed the experience. It has been a long time since that map was built. I am still creating new ones and hope to get another one out in a month or so. It just takes me a while to get all the stuff built, get everything tested and finally get goals created and tested for play. Thanks for trying the map. Slider

I managed to pass all criteria on Robber Baron/hard routing/no AIs commencing at Sioux Falls. The most difficult to achieve was the first stage (by 1979) due to the large quantity of rail that needed to be laid. The secret was to make a big money machine first with two cities producing food and transporting it to each other, providing the capital required for expansion (didn’t need the Malleable Rails patent). Engines were beautifully designed and the goods were interesting as usual. Would be interested to hear if anyone is able to pass this in RB mode commencing somewhere other than Sioux Falls.

This game seems quite hung-up on dates and this re-save often solves the problem, at least on windows pcs. It would be worth a try.

Lots of game info, building blocks for engines, goods, etc. Unfortunately, this site is just not monitored anymore. I think Warll shows up once a month to see if anything is going on. That’s about it. Bobby’s site is monitored constantly. Try it. Plus, tons of tested maps.

Perhaps you could give that a try. A number of folks have tried it on Bobby’s site. I have not seen any feedback here, but it has been downloaded by several folks. Maybe that one will work for you.
