This has passed thru my mind a few times also. You would have to recreate all the structures, trains and cars. You might get away with reskinning alot of it with bright colors, and a bit of structure editing on some engines, them color them brightly and put faces on them.

Go for it. :P

Not as much as you might think though, snoop. For myself I'd not bother with meshing the faces on the front ends, but just making them via texture mapping. then most of the rest would just be matching the various engines to their types. I seem to recall quite a few of them already being in the Euro tech lists, with the exception of Thomas, who could probobly be created through minor remesshing of an atlantic 4-4-2

Well, i gues i was talking about the details in the ones available compaired to teh lack of detail in Thomas and friends. I'm not really sure how much detail is in the fronts of the engines we have. I've done Some stuff for my grandchildern as to making track and decorations and cars for their Thomas and friends. It's a fun thing to work with.

I'll conceed that point, definatly. Without looking, the engine front would be one of the places I'd expect to be able to save poly's on, by basicly going with as flat a cylinder cap as possible.

...you can go to TurboSquid.com and the 3D Max models used on the show are there for sale. I don't remember the prices, but the max files for all of them and the cars are there.

I was just at TurboSquid.com...and the 3D Max models for the whole set was still there. I think they have all the train cars and buildings as well. Just do a search for trains at that site...you will find them.
