Now Hiring Painters!!!

Post by snoopy55 » Tue Dec 25, 2007 7:39 pm

For anyone who can do or wants to learn simple to difficult editing, we're looking for people to give us existing Cars in new paint schemes and RR names. All that is required is the editing of the "(car name & version)_diff.dds" files. These can be put into a Car folder along with the other required files or just uploaded here to be used by others or put into folder set by me to post here in the Construction Set.
If you are well versed in doing this, a tutorial on the subject would be nice also.

Any takers?? :P

What...just post new cars here?
Here is a rebuilt version of the Visitors car. The old one always had the windows highlighted even if empty. I also added all the other car animations for this car. This is a red passenger car first made by Univerisom on the Utah map.

Also I will add the Elfs passenger car which is green.

//EDIT// do you want the xml text entry for them as well...maybe as a readme inside the zipped cars? If so I can add that and edit the zips...didn't think of that till I had already sent them...

These passenger cars will stay as a version One car, even through v2.

We'll do the Rolling Stock here and do seperate threads for the rest.

If you can do up the required XMLs for any finalized cars please do so. That's just that much less code I have to do. We want these to be done so they can just be dropped in like Lego@ blocks, IF the creator wants to do it. If not, anyone else can make note in the thread and do them.
By all means Lowell, post the code!
