Custom Maps not accessible in game

Hi everyone,

I have started trying to install custom maps, I have tried doing it both manually and using the map shifter. The maps show up in the game under UserMaps, but it is greyed out and cannot be selected. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help

I tried that version of the map shifter, still with the same result. I have attached an image of the menu screen

Thats not how you load maps. Custom maps can be played just like every other map. Which means you need to go to the new game menu and select the map that way.

This is what my user maps folder looks like

This is how to install custom maps:

1. Delete the existing C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads! folder
2. Start a new game, that will create a new and clean C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\UserMaps folder
3. Copy the compressed (Zipped) file into the new UserMaps folder
4. Unzip it into the same folder.
5. Play and have fun

Tried that way but no custom maps show up in the map selection

Do you have Patch 1.10 installed?
Where did you got the game from??.
I f nothing works uninstall the game and reinstall it. (The whole program!!) including the patch 1.10.

I just tried it, the map installs fine and is visible on the map select screen as it should be.

Got it fixed. The patch 1.10 didnt install properly the first time so just needed to reinstall. Thanks for your help
