Did you have at least 4 of those cities set as start cities?
I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....

You mean it crashes when you do a save in the editor? Or it crashes in-game when you are saving an active game?

What are your system specs?

As to placing the Statue of Liberty and such, unless someone else has seen something I missed, you'll need to go into the original maps, copy the 3 lines that make up the itme:

<Model>
<szNifName>StatueofLiberty.nif</szNifName>
</Model>

Put them in RRT_Cities.xml in the buildings list, then put a matching line:

<szLandmark>StatueofLiberty.nif</szLandmark>

in the city section that you want it in. Open up a few of the Original maps and look them over. You can learn a lot about how they work that way.

Try this.....go into C:\Documents and Settings\(your computers name)\My Documents\My Games\ and rename 'Sid Meier's Railroads!' to 'Sid Meier's Railroads!HOLD', then restart the game. Shut it down and go into 'Sid Meier's Railroads!HOLD' and copy 'Settings.ini into the new 'Sid Meier's Railroads!'. Then go in and try to build a simple map with 4 cities, all start positions. Say it and exit. If this works, go in and choose to 'Load a Saved Map' and add the Indusrties to your map. Try and save that one. Continue on doing edits and saves in steps until you finish it or it crashes.

Godd Luck :wink:

Some of the latest ATI drivers don't work with Railroads!. I have Radeon 9600 card and had to roll back the driver to 7.8.
ATI refers to the Firaxis patch 1.10, but that is incorrect.

I had the same problem with my Sapphire X800, had to go back to the 7.8. But I upgraded my GPU to a XFX 7950, and an XFX 8800GS. No more problems. :)
