Northern California version 2

Northern California is designed as a single player map and runs in 3 eras from 1860 to 1950. It features some new goods, train cars, etc. and even has redwood trees. The map was tested with both Windows 10 and Windows 8. This is a SAM - Stand Alone Map. Please make sure that there are no other files in your Usermaps or Custom Assets folders. Put the zip files in your Usermaps folder and unzip Northern California.7z.001, and it should unzip the rest.

The testing was done at the Mogul level. There is a Read Me.txt file with a few hints as well as a Goods List which you may find useful. I think you will find the map provides some challenges. I hope you enjoy it.

I have updated the files for my Northern California map. A tester found a few typos that I had missed and those have been corrected. I hope you will enjoy the map.

I know a few of you have downloaded the original version of Northern California. If you do not wish to go through the download process again here is an easy way to update your version of the map to version 2. The attached download contains 2 xml files, the only ones with any changes. One is the RRT_Events.xml. There were 6 listings for increases and decreases (3 each) where the good's name was not capitalized. I believe if the game happens to hit on one of those events, it can crash the game. Most of the time capitalization doesn't matter, but the good's name may be an exception. The second file is the RRT_Scenario_User_Northern_California.xml. An image file for one of the completion of victory conditions was mis-named and has been corrected.
Download this small zip, unzip the files and copy them to the Usermaps, Northern California folder where the RRT files are located and simply save the 2 files overwriting/replacing the original ones and you're up to date. Someone tested this for me and with these simple corrections, played the game through - no crashes. Sorry for the inconvenience, but if you have the original version, this is the simple fix.
