Personal messages......

Post by snoopy55 » Mon Jun 04, 2007 6:53 pm

While pointing out an idea about notifying members about new PMs he informed me that there is a notifacation already in effect. There is a pop-up when you come online here. Of course I didn't know about it because I hate all of those pop-ups on the internet. ( spend more time closing them than than anything else  ) So, ifyou don't think much about looking for PMs, turn on pop-ups before you come online.
Now to try to remember that.......

I may not have pop ups on but i don't mind having to check my email since I have Gmail.

Also there is a menu item that shows if you have messages or not.

If it were not for my looking thru my Email before I come here, I would probally miss them a few times also. Since my log-in is automatic, I don't tend to look up at the top of the screen. This was brought up because the member in question also didn't notice it. I did this post only to let people know of the pop-up, not to make anyone feel silly for not seeing a message notice.

I like snoopy55 didn't even see it there at first. I recieved an email telling me of my first one. Like Warll my popups are turned off. I tend to notice it more now days, seeing as the Wiki link is next to it.

I have never had a problem with PMs since I use gmail and have the notifier installed. With it I know with-in minutes if someone has sent me a massage.
