Here's the confusion folks...and this is why you play online....people teach people, tutorials don't
You can have up to 3 lines into a depot or station.
BUT if you upgrade to terminal, you're now allowed a 4th. but again, it doesnt matter, you can run infinite trains into a station if you do it right....get online and get humble and you'll learn quick

Interesting. You may not have noticed, but stations WILL accept 4 tracks, just like terminals

All conditions, though I don't know about online multi -- it's a "glitch," when terminals were allowed 4 it also allowed stations to have 4. Explained a long time ago by Red Knight in the Wike, if I remember correctly.
