Train routing

Post by paul9393 » Mon Oct 15, 2007 2:33 pm

When purchasing a train to only move raw materials from a coal mine farm, vineyard to a town or city, is it more economical to leave the trains composition in place for the round trip or to remove the freight cars for the trip back to the supplier?

Leave them on, does nothing but slow you down if you take them off.

A bit further explanation..If you choose to take them off at the City, the train has to wait as each car is removed. At the other end, the train has to again wait as each car is added to the train. A train with no cars and a train with empty cars go the same speed, so as Warll indicates, taking them off only slows the train down.

I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....
