I recently got a friend hooked on Railroads and we wanted to try playing each other on two different computers in my house. We can't see each other when creating a LAN game, but we do see each other on the Internet match up screen. When either of us tries to connect to each other though we get an error message
"Waiting to connect...." followed by a "Connection Failed"
I figured it was a firewall issue so I made sure both of them were off and that didn't help. What's really odd is that BOTH of the computers can play in another person's game online, we just can't play each other.
Anyone have an idea what could be causing the problem?

Are the 2 computers connected directly or thru a hub? If you are connecting directly thru the LAN then you need a crossover cable to connect them. Here's a site to get diagrams from.

More than 2 need a hub. A computer with multiple LANs may work, But I'm not sure.

I'm correct 97% of the time..... who cares about the other 4%....
