Unable to load patch 1.10

I recently installed SpyBot as a anti-malware program, however, it caused Railroads not to work. I removed SpyBot, but Railroads would still not work. I deleted Railroads and reinstalled the base program with no problems, was able to run a game without an issue. I re-downloaded patch 1.10 from the Railroads Home Page and it installs successfully, but when I go to run the program, I get the cryptic message of "Sid Meier's Railroad has stopped working" and never goes into the program.

Any suggestions as I love playing this game.

I'm running Vista with 2Gigs of RAM (had the 3G enabler working just fine before SpyBot), so I know the computer is capable of running the program.

Do you mean "spybot search & destroy"? If so I don't know how it might have messed with SMR since theres no malware spyware or adware in it.

Yes, Spybot Search and Destroy. Any ideas of how to get my patch 1.10 to install?

You must not have uninstalled the game completely. I haven't encountered this bug before though so all I can suggest is uninstall and install.
