disable clouds and disable copy cars not showing

Hey guys,

I had this issue before and just forgot how to fix it. I had to reformat my HDD so now I have to fix the game after I installed the patches. The "disable clouds and disable copy train cars" are not showing.

Wasen't there a user mod or something to fix this?

Go into C:\Documents and Settings\(your system name)\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!
and open Settings.ini. The clouds thing is in there.

That Settings file and it's doings needs to be posted in Wiki.....

Also run the game and in the Games Options Screen click for Graphics and change it there for clouds.
Disable copy cars is also available when in game Options.

It's not showing the option in there either. I have done a fresh install twice.

I have the game in my work computer as well and that one is set up correctly. Could I just replace the file from that one to my home PC?

Yes, you can do that.

The clouds can also be disabled in the first screen, 'OPTIONS', 'GRAPHICS'...it's been a while and I forgot about that way of doing it.

In Settings.ini it is the 18th line to a 1.

If you plan on doing SAMs or CICs and figure you might need more than one SMR folder, put a copy of the Settings.ini into a folder for safe keeping.

this may sound too simple (or you already tried it), but i was having this issue *just* like you after a fresh re-install of Railroads.

What happened was, i had not updated to the 1.1 patch. Those options showing up in the "Game Options" are linked to the 1.1 patch.

Once you patch, they should show up in game. They will not show up in game with the default from the disk install nor the 1.01 patch.
