B-Unit Trains Discussion

Post by Rodea2007 » Tue Aug 05, 2008 6:03 am

In this game until now we only have one model B-Unit Train for diesel engine that is called F3 Bunit, that model I guess not perfect yet because I saw in the model have 4 train exhausts but only two have animations, I was revised that model which now have 4 animations. And I was ready made B-Unit for GP series, whereis have 2 models, that are 2 train exhausts and 4 train exhausts, notice the pictures below

Very nice indeed! 8) So do you think we might be able to get this E8 model to work? It is supposed to have 8 axels.

They are already finish and ready to uploaded to this forum, but now my ADSL Line is broken and for while I'm using Dial Up Modem as Internet Connection, that connection needed long time if I want to upload data more than 1 MB

Starting to look like a CLF! Try removing the truck in the middle, replacing the fans and fuel tank. Also, remember to raise the top of the engine a little and flaten the roofs sides. The body still has the same mapping and needs to have one long piece in the diff to display the paint and windows properly. I can post the paint I placed on the F7 if you need it.

That's model not perfect yet, just ready less than 1 hour to working it I only try to combine 2 F3-Series in 3dsmax 8 and try adding to game, please post your F7 painted I will see What I can do... :)

Edit..: I need pictures from that train ( top-side, left or right-side, front and back sides)

Rodea, very nice start :!:
Here are some links.
As you can see, some of the details such as handrails and number of windows change, since they were all manufactured individually in Australia, but the basic six axle design is standard.

Rodea, the F7 A from coupler to coupler is 52 feet long. The E8 A from coupler to coupler is 70 foot 3 inches long. That willl give you an idea of cutting length. Attached is a PNG file of the sides and ends of a E8 A.

Rodea - the dummies control this. Open the opne for it in NifSkope and click on 'Render'. Make sure 'Draw Axis' and 'Draw Nodes' is checked. You can then make adjustments in there and it should work. This is where longer and shorter Engines and cars are done. You played with this in your versions of the Vineyard.
