request - GL class Garratt

Post by henkhugo » Fri Aug 10, 2007 3:03 pm

Good day all,

I was wondering if anyone is willing to do a S.A.R. GL class Garratt. They are really amazing steam engines.

Dont get your hopes up, though. Getting a new model into the game is rather tricky, especially one as complicated as this will be. And a good side view is needed too, if you can find one, as its very very hard to see just where the drive wheels and other articulation points are.

FYI
One of the first links that were posted originally had a link for a (side-view) drawing of the Garrat

Not only does this give a good side view as requested, it also has lots of train data including many dimensions. I'd imagine that is more info than you usually have to work your magic from.

Thanks

I like this idea, but:
A)I don't have a map to use it on, I'll have to download some first
B)I don't have a modeling program or any other program to make a locomotive
C)I wouldn't know how to use the equipment if I did
D)I probably wouldn't have the space to download software, since I only have accounts on family CPUs, not actually my own computer
Sorry I can't be of help. I'm barely on logos.
