I propose a new rule for the forums to use! Everybody will be awarded 1 donut for every attack on another member. Please send your address to the admin. LOL  I hope Bob will make money rain from the sky! YAY! Bob is the best politition on earth! YAY!

Yes, this is sarcasm.

Technically, you never should, this is why: As a real estate broker-I don't take weekends, nope, never heard of them... I have some faint memories from childhood about something called a "Saturday" but my shrink says this memory... like so many others, may indeed be fabricated.

You've been warned.

To prevent this madness, I'll run against Bob, willingly. Now I do believe he has the capability to be a good leader, and I do not doubt that he can handle pressure, but I do question his tactics and definition of fairness. You have seen his arguments and his interest in trying to manipulate to his advantage in his posts. I don't think we need a moderator that believes in his own ideas, and believes he and nobody else is right. I will stick up for the forums best interests and place in effect a better set of standards. Clearly written rules, and well proven ones at that, would be my first priority. I would definitely enforce them in the forum. I will try to be as fair and unbiased as I can. I will not take suggestions on the matters of the many problems that I may be asked to govern. I will make my words final.

Now that the sarcastic rebuttal of mine has been made, what do you think?

What we need is a supervisor of the moderator, who can hit him over the head if he gets out of line.
If that post is still open I want to run for it.

Us suppervisors should also have the ability to help out on suggestions. WE MAY INFLUENCE HIM! POWER! CORUPTION! A FORUM VERSION OF A GOVERNMENT! ALL IN ALL, GREAT!

Actually it's not such a stupid idea. :!: :!: Like a board of directors in a Corporation. They don't interfere with the day to day operation of the CEO, and can cut the CEO-s salary in half if he misbehaves.

Then if the site admin says go ahead, and if the forum agrees, I'll get to work looking into how we can organize this. Oh, Bob can be the new Moderator.

This all sounds great.
You know, I know of several fan sites that have more than one site admin/moderator. 8)

Fun ideas here, I must say. Yes, a moderator also needs to be fair toward all opinions and view points and not have his or her own agenda in mind (except where that agenda is to enforce forum rules and try to mediate possible disagreements between members).

But, as I've said before, the future of this forum is still uncertain - at least I haven't heard Falc's final opinion yet (although I do know that he is considering all sorts of options at the moment).

Now, another idea I had is that all three of us can be moderators. Each of us should consult with each other before amending a rule or ban. This would allow the three of us to act as a committee. We would require two other moderators to agree and vote for our idea before allowing it to be carried out. Comments?
