HELP, i cant update

hi guys im new here and ive got a question..
i got version 1.0.0.0 and when i want to go online it says 'you got an older version'.
'would you donwload the update'?
than i click ok and it downloads. but after finishing download i've to click 'OK' to install. so i click on 'OK' but than my game ends and nothing happens....
i dunno what to do...
can someone help please?

Hi Mauriceee,
If I recall correctly, here is what worked for me:

Go to the official site: http://www.2kgames.com/railroads/railroads.html, click "DOWNLOAD" button for PATCH V1.1. Remember where you save the RailroadsPatch110.zip file (22 Mb).

With SMRR closed down, find and click the downloaded file.
After it finishes, then you can open and run SMRR.
When you get to the main menu screen, it will show Version 1.1.0.0 (61414) in the lower left corner.
