Go into the Options button from the main menu when you start the game.

Mike, lol
He was asking if you could change his name for this forum not his in game name. After all thats why he addressed it to "admin"

Well, it was not clear in his post...

Anyway, to change your FORUM username you should send a PM to Falconer and he can help.

He is asking the admin (person charged with taking care of the website) how to change his "user" name. Its really clear if you think about it. Not that I'm blaming you or anything I can see how you got confused.

I sent Falconer a message about this request, so he'll get back to you about it.

Thanks for chiming me in Snoopy. :)

Changing user names is something that we don't normally do for so many reasons that it would make a really impressive list hehe.

If you have a _very_ good reason, PM me with the name you want and explain why you want it changed.

Whoa, sorry to stir up all the excitement, but thanks to all for your replies. I'm a rank newbie and it shows; now all I need to do is figure out how to PM Falconer.

OK on PM

Post by Zeke » Thu Aug 09, 2007 6:09 pm

OK, that was easy. No need to explain how to PM.
Thanks again all.

Hey Zeke, don't put yourself down that way, ALL of us were 'rank noobies' at one time. You're here to learn and there are loads of us here to teach.

Yup, we all have to start somewhere and this is as friendly a place (or we hope more actually) as anywhere. :)

I could tell you, but I'd have to..... Oh no, that was my other job. :)

Seriously.

Two of the more important reasons:
- We lose track of who is who (which can sometimes be intentional by the requester).
- We don't want an explosion of people requesting name changes, workload wise.
- Frequenting a forum will cause others to form an 'image' of who you are, what you are like and whether or not they like you. Changing your name can confuse your peers (this is more a 'protection' issue for the requesters and other users benefit).

Then of course there are some technical aspects but those are the least pressing.
