You go in and start the map from which your save was made, then click on the menu in the upper right corner and click on 'Load Game' and choose the game you saved. I don't know if others have this problem, but the graphics on my screen tend to get fuzzier the more I start and load maps without exiting the game.

this is the only difference I found. Looks like the picture for the sky doesn't get loaded so the water doesn't reflect it.

Nope that is most likely a shader error since mappers do have an option to change the water's colour it likely has something to do with that.

Tracks - Virtual Memory

Snoopy, I asked this before & you never answered -- what is your pagefile (Virtual memory) set at? Mine was originally at 730Mb, & SMR would often require about 950Mb. This "on the fly" change in virtual memory caused many graphic & ctd problems with my system. Granted that I only have 512Mb ram, it now works quite well, since I set my pagefile to 2048Mb. I suspect that anything in the order of 1200-1500Mb will also work well. Anyway, it can't hurt.

keotaman - sorry bout that, I get distracted sometimes
I have 2024 on one drive and 3072 on another for a total of 5096. I may put 5120 on one drive and remove the other two. I've only recently seen it go over 800Mb virtual and 950Mb regular, and I have 3Gb memory at this time. I started doing some research on maps as to what needed to be loaded first to cover all mods and what maps use what materials, and my game has gone haywire. The screen is breaking up in fan-type shapes of different colors. I lost multi-track station capability and had to reload the game. I'm on my fourth reload, and I'm getting frustrated. I'm going to have to go over the forum and search for solutions while writing a paper on it. Buggers

chips2481 - there are two requirements, follow these instructions (found both in the forum and in Wiki):

How to enable map editor: First install patch 1.10, then go into your game folder (usually: "C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Railroads!\") and open the shortcut "Settings.ini" and add the line: "EditorEnabled = 1"

And read the forum for information on do's, don't's, can's and can't's. READ, READ, READ :!: And then read some more. Open maps XML and see how it's done, and watch for certain required editing of the XMLs. Ask questions and post your map to be examined and run. Simple :!: (ya right  )

Don't be put off. The above is true and helpful, but not scarey. While intrcate maps are great, they can be simple and still be fun.

Go get 'em :!:

 Thought that might fly over your guy's heads. In short 1337 is 'leet" speak for leet, leet meaning elite. For more heres a wiki link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leet
