Hey folks, about this WIKI, there's a bunch of titles that when you go to D/L it says link has not been made yet or something like that.

Is this WIKI still the way to get maps or is there another option?.

Specifically I was trying to get the America 1.2 map

Well you can get the maps in the maps thread...just look for the America thread...it's there. I think there is an installer for that map if you are using SMRI or the old Global file system.

Just tested them out. The blue titles give you map info, the red titles are ones that are not done yet in that respect. You need to click on 'Download Installer' to get the map installer, not the title. After all this time I have just noticed that it does not specify that .

The only possible reason 'I' can think of is that you have to be logged in here to download from there...... Click on the "Railroads! Wiki" in the upper right corner and go from there.

How come so many of the map links have gone dead?

I can't find the updated holiday map installer, and many of the user made maps seem to point to dead links...

Is there an alternate site on the Wiki?

Post a list of the dead ones and I'll see what I can do.

Sandhill Line, unless you are OK with maps crashing on you just as you think things are going well and you are winning, forget about the old links.

Snoopy has converted a wealth of old maps into stable SAM format, there are Lowell's stable CIC maps and even I have started to test some good old maps for stability and provided tips and tricks for winning them HERE

Is the Wiki down or gone??

I brought it up to Falconer and he'll be getting to working on it as time allows.

Just my 2cents.. The wiki has a lot of great info on it and we all still need it up.

This RailRoads! site will change servers again. I believe after they get all that stuff sorted out, they will look into putting the Wiki back up. Dr. Frag's tutorial on map/landscape is in that group of info as well.

The Wiki is up. It was reloaded shortly after I brought it to Falconers' attention. All that he is missing is the images, and if any of you happen to have any of them, PM me and I'll give instructions on how to get them to me so I can edit the Wiki, and keep a full copy stored on CD.

It's been up for weeks again, did anyone actually try to click on the Wiki link?

Been there and did some editing....... More planned as soon as I figure a set-up for it.......
