Re: Poland map

I PM'd Vic on his maps, noting what needed to be done to get them to work. When asked if it was OK to post them on his threads since files could not be sent PM, he replied Great. Sure.

They can be deleted if this becomes offensive to anyone.

There is an RTF file explaining what was done.

Re: CIC,SAM, None the above.

Well, being that I am one of the main instigators of the SAM style, what IS your 'softened' stance on SAM? And why has it softened?

Not looking for a 'i stand my ground on my doings', I just often have looked for opinions of them. Some of them have helped to transform them to what they are now.

Re: Attica (Greece) railroads

From our discussion in PM I spent about 45 minutes in search and working and got the files below for Fetta Cheese and Olive Oil. They are sized at 32 and the files I worked with are included. See what you think.

Re: Pampas (Argentina) map.

Vic - You must have uploaded the wrong copy. Your Scenario calls for RRT_TrainCars.xml . Your RRT_TrainCars.xml only lists 3-liner Train Cars which will cause the map to crash. You can remove the RRT_TrainCars.xml file from your map and it will use the one from the game. This will remove the Tenders...

Re: Attica (Greece) railroads

Ya, I know what you mean, I've worked on almost a hundred maps (only a few actually mine tho  ) and sometimes I think in the language...... And the game has always had a surprise written in that can make you want to beat it with a hammer! To quote a post I wrote: You might try this - go her...

Re: Attica (Greece) railroads

As to the Cities, there are some limits which have been found, tho I cannot recall them off the top of my head. One thing is Goods conversion. If you have one Good, say Grain, going to a Sheep Farm and you write it to produce two different things, Wool and Nitrates, it will only produce the first on...

Re: Attica (Greece) railroads

I was looking into why the map would not take AIs. I noticed some things in your RRT_Cities_AtticaModernAge.xml. I'll get back to you on them later.

Are there Goods in any of the maps that you do not want in them?

Have you or anyone else fully played all of your maps thru?

Re: Just installed SMRI, now having gameplay issues

I seem to remember something about that, but SMRI was born years ago :D , flourished :P and faded away  , never to be added to again. Your best bet is to delete it and go to the Map Database at the top of the screen and get the SAMs available there. They are well tested and more are available h...

Re: Front page map queue

OK, I figured out the errors and I think I have them repaired. I'm going to let one of you test it, just make sure you do at least one test running every Good to be sure they are all OK. Then run it to win it to be sure it can be done.

Let me know of any problems.

Re: Complete Westeros_SAM

MasteRyder - first, the map contains 16 possible In-City Industries. You can only have 12 that can be built, something you have to set in the XML. If you start it often enough you just might get the Winery to come up on the list of Industries to be built. As to the Beer crash, he has the Cask Car se...

Re: Front page map queue

I'm sorry, looking it over, there are a few problems with it. Jancsika created it and SAM'd it, so I never gave it a thought. We discussed it heavily in the maps thread. i'll have to look it over and see what is going on and what can be done. The copy I posted was his SAM version posted on the other...

Re: Hi, nooby with some questions!

Ok, that must have to do with the reasons vzbob gave here: viewtopic.php?p=51047#p51047 I know I've had over 20 different IP addresses for my account and have logged in from maybe 3 different locations. Beyond that, I know nothing about them.

When you try to access the site, what messages do you get? A possible reason for the one you previously mentioned, Error 503, can be found here: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerr ... 3error.htm
