The big thing I didn't like about RRT2 was that you couldn't see your locos really close-up. Also, Railroads! is more faithful to the original as far as trains. The train table mode, inspired by RRT2's "Sandbox Mode" is also more fun. I only miss the scenarios of RRT2 where I could run the Santa Fe ...

I have sent pm's to gackbeard and another firaxis guy. They haven't replied yet, so they may be up to something... Rather than a mere patch, I've suggested maybe making an expansion pack for Railroads! that'd have more bug fixes, more, larger maps, more engines, and an improved editor. I hope they d...

I like this forum, too. I also wish I could say the same about Sid and Railroads! Well... come to think of it, I CAN! :) It's not their fault it was buggy, They did their best in the time alotted. Since no 2 computers are alike, some bugs don't get discovered until after release. I just upgraded my ...

Well, I have a 2.8 gig p4 with a Radeon x1300 512mb AGP. I have had problems with it crashing, and although I must say the patches did help a bit, I still had crashing. Firaxis says they've had no problems after the 1.1 patch, and said it must be issues with the drivers. I recently upgraded mine to ...

Railroads! has done quite well, and has got its share of awards. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised to see more for it in the future. 8)

I doubt that. Railroads! is owned by their subsidiary. And if Take2 will allow more Civilizations, I'm sure there will be more for Railroads! one way or another.

I got it for $20 at my Best Buy store. It does have pretty pictures of the engines. Yes they're black and white but never you mind. The engine pictures are the best I've seen for a Railroad Tycoon game :D

Sweet! Then we'll be able to enjoy the locos of Railroads! in other games like Trainz! I'd love to have them in Trainz! 8)

Actually, from what the initial post said, it ought to be 2-4 weeks from Oct 27, so if all goes well, we should see it soon...

Yeah, I tried it. It is nice, but I don't like the way the trains are scaled. I like the bigger ones, and this mod also scaled the wheelbases so they look like NG engines on SG track. So I adjusted it to have tenders but no scaling. 8)
