Re: Lake Michigan West SAM
Larry and Karsten, I noticed the same thing with Sliders oil tanker which has only 2 files oil_tanker.nif and oil_tanker_diff.dds. When I NifSkoped the oil_tanker.nif file, it references the SMR files: FisheryBoat_NORM.dds, FisheryBoat_SPEC.dds, and FisheryBoat_EMSK.dds. The FisheryBoat is that smal...

Re: Lake Michigan West SAM
Nice map Slider. I really liked the new industries and rolling stock, especially the plastic pipe plant, coal depot, oil port, grain elevator, and Abcor Industries modern warehouse, although the Abcor industry might look better scaled a bit larger. It looks too small when a train is nearby. I liked ...

New Map - US_Southeast
New Map - US_Southeast 1918-1985 Attached is a new 15x15 map of the Southeastern United States of America. This map covers the region formerly served by the Southern Railway (Washington DC to Jacksonville to New Orleans to St. Louis). The Southern Railway was formed over 160 years from the consolida...

Re: Bigger station or multiple station in same city ?
Hi Vjuluss. Four tracks per station is an SMR game limitation. You can not build more than 1 station per city, however you can build a station in a city already occupied by a station owned by an AI player and then buy out the AI. You will now have 2 stations in that city. For example, you could make...

Re: Buildings listed under RRTModels
Larry, The buildings nif files are in the Sid Meier's Railroads game. Look for the Cities0.FPK file inside the Assets folder, inside the Sid Meier's Railroads! folder. You will need a program such as PakBuild to extract the Cities0.FPK file. This will create a folder containing all the buildings fil...

Re: New Map: Canadian Pacific
Karsten, Thanks for your review. As usual, your comments have led to a significant improvement in the map. Your suggestion to modify the mountains and raise the price of bridges and tunnels was a very good one. From the point of view of a retired professor, saying others can learn from my map is the...

Re: Rodea Grain Car V3
Rodea, Nice looking grain car. I will try to use it in a new US_Southeast map I am working on which has a full spectrum of V3 traincars in it. Nice looking locomotive, too.
It looks like an EMD SD70AC. Is it available somewhere to use too? - TMiller

Re: Front page map queue
Warll, You might add my Canadian Pacific map to the queue. Also I think Cabo's Iberia map is a revised version of his earlier Cadiz map, but I am not sure. He may have intended it as two maps. You may need to check with him. Karsten has played my first version of the Canadian Pacific map, but I have...

Re: New Map: Canadian Pacific
Canadian Pacific Version 2 I have modified the map and the other files based on comments by Karsten. I have modified the mountains of British Columbia to be less pointy and more of a continuous mountain range with several passes that can be used to access cities and industries without requiring tunn...

Re: New Map: Canadian Pacific
Eloquent argument. I am convinced. I will make the tunnels more expensive and rework the mountains and passes. I looked in your AZ Canyon map and found that you had added a Bridges.xml file, but no Tunnels.xml. In the Bridges file you eliminated masonry and stone bridges, adjusted the depths for woo...

Re: New Map: Canadian Pacific
Karsten, Thanks for your review of the Canadian Pacific map. I am glad you liked it. I agree with you that the mountains are too pointy. I will work on this some. I will check out your Arizona Canyons map and see how you handled the tunnels costs. I know how to increase tunnel and bridge costs, but ...
