Re: Shall we have FAQ?

I am near completion of the added/changed trains on Florida Gold. The strokes I had have placed me in a void for awhile. I have to go over all the content items and listings. It should be ready for a beta test run shortly. The Southern engines have been pulled, updated then added to the Georgia map....

Re: Shall we have FAQ?

Check with Warll...I think he has posted the old Wiki back up. It had a list, not all maps made it on it though. Myself I scroll through the Maps section and look at the threads for them as they give clues storyline etc. When a new or old list is back up, if anyone could please let me know...I will ...

Re: CTD with win 7

So far with my tests I think Jancsika's thought might be the answer, which was one of my first thoughts as well. It may just be the map you were playing. Which map is it that keeps failing? Oh and don't forget that the self contained mod maps that add new game content, ie new types of industries, tr...

Re: CTD with win 7

Yes 6gig should work, depends on what needs to be kept running. Those specs are right-off the Win 7 software box. I just made a 7 system and haven't had any issues as yet. I will test one of my large maps on it and see. 7 is "made" to let apps use more than 2.5 gigs like Vista and previous Win loads...

Re: CTD with win 7

Win 7 in 32bit mode needs 1gig of ram and 16gigs of hard drive space. In 64bit mode it needs 2gigs of ram and 20gigs of hard drive space..."just for 7 to run with nothing else turned on." On many of my large mod maps, they can use as much as 1.3gigs of memory. So in 7's 64 bit mode I would need at l...

Re: Train Edit

You should be able to use the same kfm as long as you edit all the name titles in it's menu inside the kfm file...like all the Actions might need expanded and renamed with your new models name, or it could be as simple as renaming the nif file the kfm looks for...that is changed in the top right men...

Jancsika
That sounds like a great idea.
Is there no way we can make a new Wiki page somehow?
Both would be fantastic, but the FAQ for sure.

Re: Texas map

It doesn't show up in the scenario setup. Shouldn't there be a .FPK file? Not with a map that uses the games' default models and trains. You made a Depot_Texas xml list for the depots, but in the Scenario you have it pointing at the RRT_Depots.xml list. No biggie, but if you use the default depots,...

So the same fix for Vista works for Win 7 also?

Re: Eye-Level

Hmm...maybe I was in the game editor and started a test play when I did that. I will go back and double check, I know I did it a couple times. EDIT/// Warll you are correct...the game needs paused first editor tests and in-game. I am beta testing anouther train game and it allows that...mind got the...

Re: Eye-Level

Well believe it or not you can use the what I call "free camera" even while in-game. It is a tad tricky...and you really have to move the camera in baby steps or the game may just decide to take a nap.
But yes...I have taken close-ups like this in running games.
...and you are very welcome...

Re: Mud Skippers

Oh okay...that's cool. I don't mind that. They have my permission to post the map as long as they offer my link. If they wish to make a sam version they may, but I would make sure it has several tests for crashes first and I will be happy to offer any help I can...but like I mentioned, I've tried th...

Re: Mud Skippers

Okay I see what has happened here. People I have been told that if you go to Bobby's site he has made a Sam version of my map...(gee...that didn't take long... )...reconstructing it's file structure...which I have made "this way for a reason." If you want my maps to run flawless on your...
