Re: Annex Behavior Issues

You are a genius, and exactly right! I'm not sure that I would have ever figured out why my annex was acting as it was. After some testing I now have my fort annex working correctly and I have no doubt that the other problem annexes will have the same issue. Thank you! Perhaps I will retain some of ...

Re: Annex Behavior Issues

Sorry that my initial post did not include the files discussed. Sometimes I am in just too big a hurry. I have edited the post and added the nif files discussed above. I hope someone has an idea on how to correct this. Slider

Annex Behavior Issues

Hi Guys, I hope someone here smarter than me can figure out my problem. I have created several new annexes for a map that I am currently testing. One of them works correctly. It was created from a SMR building. The other new ones, while they function ok as an annex, they will not get out of the way ...

Re: Lake Michigan West SAM Version 2

Good catch Karsten. I'm not sure how I missed it. It's the old NORM vs NRML normal file thing. I have added this update to the listing above. Here's another copy. Just open the attached zip file in the traincars folder and tell the corrected nif file to overwrite the existing one. Thanks again for t...

Lake Michigan West SAM Version 2

Lake Michigan West SAM Version 2 This map contains 3 Eras running from 1930 to 2000. It contains a lot of new material - new industries, traincars, engines, etc. The map area runs roughly from Chicago, Illinois north to Sheboygan, Wisconsin and west to the Mississippi River. This is a single player ...

Re: Lake Michigan West SAM

One other thing - I want to give credit where credit is due. The oil tanker is the creation of Rodea. I borrowed this from his Borneo map and repainted it. It does have an issue or 2. The back of the ship has a rather odd looking grill on it and the portside front has some contour issues. I tried fi...

Re: Lake Michigan West SAM

I appreciate all the testing you guys have done. I think that Bobby may have found a solution. After hours of work he says he has the game starting without difficulty. He is going to pm me the files this weekend so I can see what he has done. Basically it sounds like he added some event info to the ...

Re: Lake Michigan West SAM

Hi Karsten, I have done some testing with this lighthouse issue. I tried it as a landmark and placing it in a 1 building Hamlet - sort of a lighthouse keeper's home. I got this: InGame.jpg While the lighthouse and building look fine, I really don't care for the hamlet name showing up everytime that ...

Re: Lake Michigan West SAM

I appreciate you guys testing this. I was not anticipating any problems as I have been testing for a while without any CTDs. Glad the map ran well for you TMiller. You obviously have a more modern PC than this old job I'm using. I am hoping that Karsten's experience in getting the map started might ...

Re: Lake Michigan West SAM

Thanks for testing this map Karsten. How should I go about fixing this startup issue? Would it be best to take the map and RRT files and put them in their own folder and create a seperate download of just those files? I always appreciate the fact that you are willing to take the time to look at thes...

Need Version 3 Tank Car

Hi Guys, Is anyone aware of a map containing a version 3 (longer) tank car? I don't have the knowledge or programs to create one myself. I am trying to use some version 3 cars in the map I am currently working on. It would be nice to have a tank car. I thought someone might have created one and I ju...

I need a flexible decal

Hi Guys, I don't know much about decals, but I am hoping that someone with the knowledge might be able to create a decal with 5 vertices per side. I need to wrap a good size decal around the nose of an F3A. While I can get away with using a standard 4 corner decal, I really hate having those corner ...
