Re: Minnesota Rail

This is Minnesota Rail, a SAM designed for one player. It features some new Goods, Industries, Traincars and Engines. It covers the period from 1950 to 2010. It plays on a 17 x 17 map and runs in two eras covering the 60 years. Time has been slowed. Please view the Read Me file for more information ...

Re: Help installing maps on Win8.1

I am not familiar with the maps that you mention, but I have tested one or two of my maps on a laptop purchased a year or so ago which runs Windows 8 without a problem. If the maps you are trying to run are listed as SAM maps they are Stand Alone Maps which means you cannot have anything in your cus...

Re: Edit end date???

Look at the game files and find RRT_Scenario_(mapname).xml file. Open it with an xml editor. You will find a list of Eras within it. You can change the end date of the last era to anything you want. That should allow you to play a longer game. Era_end_date.jpg This is from a test map I use. I can ch...

Thanks Rodea. I've been working on the Northern Pacific shops for a while. More testing to do but it is progressing.

Re: Minnesota Rail

I've been working on a new power plant and a 3-bay covered hopper to haul ash from the plant to the cement plant for use in the manufacture of cement. My thanks to Snoop55 for his work in constructing the TR4A and B units seen pulling these hoppers.

Minnesota Rail

This is just a tease. I have a new map under development. I have a long way to go, but it will feature some new industries such as a coal barge: terminal Barge_terminal_1.jpg A cement plant with some "whalebelly" cement cars: Cement_plant_annex_cars.jpg and an Axle maker with a crane car annex: Axle...

Re: New Map - The Gold King

MasteRyder, I really appreciate the feedback. This map may have a bit more variance in difficulty than I wanted, depending on starting location. I tried to provide some track control issues for each starting spot, but I think Tombstone turned out to be more difficult than the other 3. Oh well. As fa...

Re: New Map - The Gold King

Hello MasteRyder, Thanks for testing the map. I assume that it gave you no difficulty, as in crashes or errors. As to the miner's camp, I wrestled with that one - leave them in or take them out. I used lumber for supports in the mines returning the ore. I didn't use the miners because the camps woul...

Re: New Map - The Gold King

I have received feedback from one tester who found that the last two engines would not carry freight. I don't know why I missed the <PassengersAndMailOnly>0</PassengersAndMailOnly> line in those two engines. I am surprised that it would default to passengers and mail only. I did not find that in my ...

Re: New Map - The Gold King

I could use some feedback here. I find it a bit strange that some of the map files have been downloaded 4 times, one file 6 times and one file 8 times. You need all of the files guys. Once the map has been tested Warll will put them together in one larger file for ease of downloading, but for now, y...

This map has been re-posted below. The map itself is unchanged, but the files are fewer and the process to install them is much simpler. Enjoy!
