Re: Uploading?

Remember the screenshot I posted with upload buttons in your discussion of Jancsika's Monarchy map?
If you can't see the upload interface (Upload attachment) at the bottom of the reply screen (you need to scroll down to see it), let me know.

Re: Brance

The view is enjoyable.
But otherwise there seems little to do. What was your story idea for Brance?

Re: Janciska's Monarchy

Try uploading a .jpg file first, for test purposes. Perhaps you used an unusual file compression format?

Re: Janciska's Monarchy

Great! I look forward to playing the new version once you are satisfied with it. And I am sure Jancsika would have approved wholeheartedly! :D

Re: Janciska's Monarchy

I mentioned the fact that the Italian front does not get a green checkmark to Jancsika here He may have decided not to try and fix it, due to excessive complexity of the map. Here is what he said: I had the “Fronts” as an on site industry, but then I could not register in the Scenario goals hauling ...

Re: Arizona Gold V2.4

Here is Arizona Gold V2.4 PcMac.

I updated the crucial files (screenshot), but otherwise this version is largely unchanged from the previous one.

It would be great if some of the Mac users could test this version and let us know whether it runs without problems on their copy of SMR. :D

Re: Mac User issues Thread

Just to be sure - you are running a Mac version of SMR? :)

Re: Arizona Gold V2.3

Hi Larry, Arizona Gold is one of the earlier maps - and I purposely stayed with the original assets, just changing their function, to minimize risk of malfunction. Perhaps this is why people have found that Arizona runs well on Mac SMR. If I post a version of the map with updated timestamps, would t...

Re: Mac User issues Thread

I would not discourage the research work that Snoopy and others are doing. Thanks to JRMacSMR, we rediscovered the major significance of timestamp priorities. By removing this issue, other potential misalignments can be uncovered (eg is there an issue with the music files or not). And importantly, M...

Re: Mac User issues Thread

Kasten I do not think you understand where the timestamp bug is coming from. It is not really even a bug just a design decision that makes developing custom maps harder. Warll, I fully agree with your last sentence (see my previous post). My concern is that we should not just throw away all histori...

Re: Mac User issues Thread

In reality, the time stamp feature is not a bug. It is a design decision and thus a feature, that all current user content works with. If this "bug fixing" is performed only for Mac and not for the PC version, Mac users won't be able to play existing SMR user maps, which rely on these "bugs". Worse,...

Re: Mac User issues Thread

Great contribution, JRMacSMR! :P I would assume the SMR Full version created datestamp is Oct 19 2012 for every Mac User, irrespective of when the game is installed. Then any maps with timestamps later than Oct 19 2012 should work - leaving aside any problems .fpks may cause. 8) For example US_South...

Re: Mac User issues Thread

What Snoopy seems to be referring to is this quote from my AZ Canyon discussion way back in 2007 (Wed Mar 14). See http://smrsimple.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=14787#p14787 Gackbeard, Firaxis , wrote: Quote: ... the way our filesystem works is that the newer file takes precedence when two or more fil...

JRMacSMR wrote:So it looks like you cannot have a Custom Map with a new timestamp for common named file.
That is the same on PC, I always delete any custom map in the UserMaps folder before running an original map. :D
