An experiment

Hello Everyone As you may or may not have noticed, yesterday smrsimple went down for three hours. This has prompted me to consider switching hosts. We have one year left prepaid on our current host so the switch will not be immediate. Part of my plan to keep smrsimple running for another 5+ years is...

Re: Revised Map - JAPAN3

I am looking forward to adding this map to the database. I just need an independent player to confirm that this version is crash free.

Re: SMR:I will not install

You are not alone Snoopy. Aberdeen Carolina and Western Railroad is the most popular map when measured by comments. I'd encourage anyone to give it a try, it has a very unique play style.

Re: New Map: JAPAN

Ok I think I fixed the issues. I had to update a bunch of software all over the place. Took me a good hour, felt longer.

Re: New Map: JAPAN

Sorry TMILLER but I have bad news. The server smrsimple is hosted on had issues with the harddrive so our host moved us to a different machine. A side effect of this is that new files are missing. Would it be possible for you to re-upload japan? If you upload it to http://www.mediafire.com/ then you...

Re: Basin and Range SAM

Thank you Snoopy for starting this thread, I think it was helpful.

With that said it appears like a conflict has manifested itself. I am not going to play judge, but I will play fireman. I declare this thread a fire hazard and it will be locked.

Re: New Map: Gone With the Wind

Congradulations Tmiller it looks nice and sounds like an interesting scanario. I've uploaded a combined zip of the map here: http://smrsimple.com/maps/Gone_With_The_Wind_v1.zip If anyone else can report back that they could play through without a crash please do. I can then post Gone With the Wind t...

Re: Hawaii Map SAM

@Karstan: The exe is a self-extracting zip. Its the style of map packaging we used before SAMs.

I've attached the contents but the exe should be safe.

@sjekazoo: The forum can ony handle uploads up to 7MB, I suggest uploading it to http://www.mediafire.com/

Re: Game is running very slow

Honestly I'm surprized that the game runs at all. That cpu and graphix card are really slow. Personally I'd build myself a better computer but you're likely not confortable assembling a desktop. If you want to play the game well I suggest you buy a cheap and decent pre-built desktop and then add a g...
