Re: St Lawrence River

I'm not a "train-table"/sandbox player, so probably can't fully appreciate what you have done here. 80 hours is a lot. I did download the save file and had a bit of a look. So I can confirm at least that the file worked. :D What impressed me is how you were able to patch back up the terrain. And I b...

Re: America Revisited

Hi, and welcome :) I assume you are using America_s02 as the base? Although both America maps on this site have complaints about crashes in the comments. It seems likely that it is a pre-existing issue with the base map. This game is quite particular about the way things are setup in the file/folder...

Re: Arizona Gold V2.4 PcMac

I like to play on RB without patents. This gives extra challenge especially on a map such as this where distances are long and resources scarce. I managed to get through the first era starting from Flagstaff when I last visited the map, but failed the net worth and thought that a patent was necessar...

Re: New York Central and The Erie

I tried the new version. The game gave me an Albany start. On Robber Baron it was just possible in the previous version, but with the extra time it's easier to head down to Poughkeepsie and after a few profits to reach New York. All the express available gives a strong revenue stream, allowing compl...

How to reverse a train

This is my method for reversing trains. This can be useful to clear jams. This is supposed to be a practical tool to turn stuck trains. Using this method when a train is in a station may cause a crash or the teleporation cheat. Please don't use it that way. My hope is to encourage more freedom and e...

Re: Australia

For whatever reason Bobby's site seems invisible to Google. Maybe he managed to lock the bots out so they can't sniff around. The first hit for the search you did being the game's page on wikipedia. The SMR wiki map list you just updated is used as a reference. Maybe it's because there is no search ...

Re: Australia

Even if you can see the site you need a membership and a couple of posts before you can view images or download files. The people who sign up, but never make enough posts to unlock images or downloads surprise me. :? If you have an interest in modeling I can't recommend getting on there enough. Also...

Seefra 3 - A different strategy?

In the process of trying to fill out the task lists for http://smrsimple.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=3204&hilit=wolf , that evolved into a separate map because I changed the goods list. Mail has been removed. But this map is almost the same except in scenario setup and tasks. All credit for map ...

There are 3 finished maps of excellent quality. Southern Ontario Deluxe http://smrsimple.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=51150#p51150 Union Pacific, this one has an update in the second post that should be included. http://smrsimple.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=4689#p51151 Appalachia Rails http://smrs...

Re: Australia

What browser were you using? Try latest version of Firefox. The setup of the site isn't very friendly to the casual user. Obviously, I will never complain as it's the right of the owner, who pays real money for upkeep, to setup however he wishes. Maybe low traffic is by design and it's definitely se...

Re: CRASHING-Cheklist!!!!

The way to tell if you patched the game correctly is to check for version number 1.1.0.0(61414) displayed in the lower right corner of the game's main menu screen. If you need it, the latest patch is available on the official 2k site. If you search on pcgamingwiki site for this game, look for "Low M...

Unfortunately, Jancsika passed some years ago. RIP. The link to download above has gone dead. So, I'm putting the true SAM copy of this map that Snoopy worked up here instead in case it helps some people to play this magnificent map. Re: India SAM map

This is an easy map with plenty of money to be made, but the design and the long production chains mean that it earns my recommendation as a fun scenario. Had a Midnapore start playing against 3 AI, so patents are in play. Also, I didn't build any new industries. This map has minor niggles with the ...

Re: Track laying really slow

What I see in those screenshots is that Railroads.exe is using on average around 12% of your processor. If you do 100/8=12.5. So slightly above 12% is actually pretty close to using one core to the max. Unfortunately, I don't think I can help with the technical aspect much. I know there is a definit...
