Smr Simple!

Just an update, I have tried everything suggested and it won't have it. If I want to play the game I just load up a different profile and play from there. I think it's just another vista issue. Civ 4 works fine.

No there is nothing on the bottom bar. I have discovered that I try to open the program and leave it running eventually it will start up after maybe 10 or 15 minutes. Then it runs fine.

I got a new Sony Vaio laptop and installed the game, played it a few times without any trouble. Now the program will not open under my user but will open OK if I log on as another user. I uninstalled and reinstalled but it's still the same. When I click on the icon to start the game it looks like it...

omega drivers fixed it

I put my drivers back to standard VGA then installed the latest ones from ATI - Game CTD on start up.

Uninstalled the game and reinstalled from the ground up - still CTD

What next?

I've just changed graphics card from ATI 9250 to a ATI 9500 PRO, every time I try to start the game now it CTD do I have to uninstall and start again??

I've been playing this map from the SMRI pack and have noticed that on occasion some of the raw materials do not appear on the map at all. I know the goods are placed randomly but is it possible to force it so at least one of each type of resource is available?

They had that on the gadget show being used by Britain's smallest man in Britain's smallest house.

I think there could be a problem in the victory conditions buy or build option. It wont let me change the type of industry or the city where it is required

I've had a bit of a fiddle around and changed the xml whitsit to 12 industries and fiddled with a few other things to make the scenario a bit more playable. I might have a go at doing my own or modding a few of the multi-player maps for a laugh
