I'm on fairly often, and there are usually other players on. If not, wait a few minutes and one will show up. The online playing community is really good, I've found. A few jerks, like anywhere, but overall fair and friendly.

I haven't noticed that online yet - hopefully players aren't doing it purposely, but you never know. I noticed that after I downloaded a map here that had inflated (realistic) prices for tunnels, that my multiplayer tunnel price went up too. Now I just play the map then delete it.

Sounds like a good rule - never seen you online, but I'd be happy to play with that rule. Do you all agree in the game room before you launch? See you in the lobby.

that's happened to me too - i think it's when it's 'out of sync'. About half of all online games have some lag, but most times it seems to affect players evenly. Once in a while, though, i get stuck and feel like i'm getting left behind. I doubt it's a cheat - just another glitch.

Hi Cage, thanks for the map - it looked cool and was fun to play. Had it on mogul-medium with one ai, and it was fairly easy to reach the goals so it would be quite tough on the harder levels, which is good. I agree with k-class though - once i'd connected the big cities and made the 80million, I ju...

Hey ZanzerTem, Just wanted you to know that I finished your scenario finally - took two tries and a couple weeks as I was mostly playing online. It's a great scenario - lots of tasks that were challenging - used mogul-medium - just finished the first tasks with two months to spare, and then the seco...

Incidentally, because I'm not sure how many of you were RRTII players, that game had a much more complex supply/demand system. Bigger cities demanded more of all products, and the higher the demand the higher the price. If you oversupplied a city with a specific good in a year, the price went down. ...

Dr. Frag is totally correct. It's a little tricky at first, but what you have to do, Stinkfinger, is start at the end of the track if you want to continue it. Your cursor should be green, not yellow. What happened is that you connected your track from San Diego into the middle of the track sort of o...

I was a big rr2 fan, so it took me a while to get used to the changes. At first, i wished they had kept it the same. However, i don't think you need a wiki to tell you the differences; just play it enough and they become obvious. Eventually, i realized that they are 2 different games, and for all it...

I had the same problem with beer - it crashed every time i built a beer car. Oh well, it played great otherwise, and the ai players were decent. Hopefully enough people dl it so we can play online. Great one, thanks!

That was a great map! Thanks for sharing it with us. Very challenging - barely made it in easy - mogul.

i believe to know that the distance is calculated on the lenght of the rail-route, and not the shortest distance (bird-path) to the villages... this is pretty stupid no? or am i wrong? That's an interesting question - maybe our wiki people can figure it out! I'd have to think it's the bird-path dist...

Yeah, those techniques both work good. Theoretically, the new train will take the shortest distance between the two stations, so a player should try to build the new parallel track on the inside of the old track around the track's curve, if possible. That way, the new train will take the new track. ...

Track Crossing and Leeching

Quite often when I'm playing online, the issue of leeching comes up, usually in the form of a rude comment by the player being leeched (having their cities/goods raided) and a series of justifications by the leech. Opinions online seem to be divided: some feel 'all is fair in love, war and railroads...

Of course I want the variety and a challenge but it should at least be feasible. I understand the goals can be ignored but why put them in there and then make them impossible to achieve? Maybe my standards are too high. Quite a few players like using this map online for the exact reason that it is ...
