Re: Nafta Phase II New Map

I'm glad to hear you're going to SAM this map. It will take care of the excess fles and total size. I believe that the 'speed of time' (for lack of a better word) may be the cause of the amounts of money being made from passenger transport. If i'm not mistaken, days go by faster than regular in this...

Re: Nafta Phase II New Map

Yes, I agree with everything Karsten said. Judging from his screenshots I just needed a lot more track to get my goods moving around. I did not like the way this map has to be 'installed'. It worked perfectly, so that's good but replacing the entire SMR! folder is a too crude method. The whole shaba...

Awesome! Sounds like a challenge.

Re: NAFTA Phase I

Thanks for the kind reply Jancsika and thanks for the great scenarios. I think I was wrong (luckily). I played the map again and everything worked fine. My apologies for starting an unnecessary discussion. Darth, definitely play this map again because with the random industries every game is differe...

Re: NAFTA Phase I

This is a great scenario with the long chain of industries. Thanks for creating it. There is however a problem with the delivery of manufactured goods. This is a game-problem, not a scenario-problem. At the end of the scenario, when you need to build an extra distribution center in Los Angeles thing...

Re: Lost Cities SAM

Thank you for that link to the replacement Wiki. Perhaps it's sensible to update the link in the top menu. I found the link to the Hawkdawg website in the second post but it only seems to offer 1 zip for this map. I assumed I needed 2 zips because when using the single one the game CTD's when trying...

Re: Lost Cities SAM

DerekDiamond - download BOTH zips. Place the contents of BOTH of them in UserMaps, then remove the Randon version OR the non Random version. You HAVE to have BOTH ZIPs. Hi Snoopy, The link in the first topic no longer exists. I assume that's where the two zips were placed? The link in the second to...

Hello Slider, welcome to the forum. We are currently working on the setup of a project where we test all released maps for problems. During the preparations I found that the scenario Africa Diamonds indeed has a problem. I suspect it's the iron mill that crashes when upgrading from small to medium. ...

It's probably included in one of the FPKs that came with a map or scenario. The game reads from those FPKs just like it would from a folder. But hey, tell me what icon you need and I'll fix it for you. I'll even prepare the rest of the components (if you need them) so you can easily fit it into your...

A better idea would be for someone to start a new thread under maybe, Technical Issues, and have people posting that they will play a map using all Goods and Annexes/Industries run to their full growth and edit their post to let us know if everything ran OK or what problem was found. It would be mu...

Ah, I didn't realize that about the snippet. My bad.
I also noticed that there IS a Baker icon afterall.
I better make sure I'm awake before starting another game. ;)

Wow, that does look strange. I checked the Transfer Station's entry but it seems to be okay. The only strange thing that I noticed is a small left over part of a note at line 105. In the file RRT_Industries_R-to-R.xml, inbetween the Transfer Station and the Port this small snippet will show: <!-- It...

Absolutely. It can sortof be simulated by setting much higher prices for the Station and Terminal. I've got them at 250.000 and 1mill respectively. If you consider the profits they generate those amounts could actually be way higher. More control over what appears when and how would be good in just ...

I too experienced an unexplainable CTD. It was much further down the line than 1888 though. I can still blaim this on my system or Firaxis. ;) It would be something to worry about if it keeps repeating.... Yeap. Good one Jancsika. That mostly does the trick for me aswell. I didn't make any saves thi...

Nope, I'm affraid there isn't. If that would be possible, we would have a whole new range of settings to play with. Currently it's sortof simulated by making bridges (or tunnels) very expensive so that the player wants to avoid building those. Track that lies flush on a mountainside still has a norm...
