Re: Australia

Hmmmmm, that's odd. Try this - go here, which is the map download section. http://smrsimple.com Down in the lower right corner you'll find this - vzbob's Forum . That should get you there, unless there is something else is keeping you from it..........

Re: Custom maps on Windows 10

Not sure, but one thing you could try is opening and saving all the XML files of each map, it may have something to do with the date codes. We had that problem with an operating system before.

Re: New map - Southern Ontario Deluxe

railage - Post a copy of the map as you now have it with the previous changes and the edited Events XML you have. This thread contains 10 zips of the map and corrections. We can post it for testing on Bobby's site and see if we can get it posted on both forums.

Senorknowitall - go back to the other forum to register and carefully read the part about the Email address you use. Read the reasons that Email addresses are rejected.

RDubs - you don't happen to have any maps loaded into CustomAssets do you? CustomAssets must be empty and only one map can be installed at a time.

Re: Austrian Hungarian Monarchy SAM

railage - is there a chance you could find and list those posts you speak of? There are 65 posts on Bobby's site in the last 4 years which use 'Mac' in them and I don't think i want to get into them right now. Do a search with a couple of other words you think might help and I'll examine your result...

Re: Gameranger for Mac now Working

The PC version also plays Sid Meier's Railroads! I wonder, does this mean that MAC and PC can play against each other?

(no, i'm not an online player, just a curious bystander)

Re: Track laying really slow

Well, as I said, I stopped playing the game long ago. Virtual Memory is another thing to look at. Railage - I know what you mean by it being to easy to make money in this game. That is why I started hacking out the Passenger and Mail run abilities on my maps. Get a loop of 10 towns, set up a passeng...

Re: Track laying really slow

Well, you said your system specs were not the issue, but I'll comment on them anyway..... This game is a memory HOG.... and that is putting it mildly. First, it's a 32-bit game, so anything over 4Gb of memory is moot. Second, while hogging the memory, it refuses to let go of it. If you start a map, ...

Re: Attica (Greece) railroads

I PM'd Vic on his maps, noting what needed to be done to get them to work. When asked if it was OK to post them on his threads since files could not be sent PM, he replied Great. Sure.

They can be deleted if this becomes offensive to anyone.

There is an RTF file explaining what was done.

Re: CIC,SAM, None the above.

Well, being that I am one of the main instigators of the SAM style, what IS your 'softened' stance on SAM? And why has it softened?

Not looking for a 'i stand my ground on my doings', I just often have looked for opinions of them. Some of them have helped to transform them to what they are now.
